 About the Story 

The Story Begins in Srinagar, Kashmir on 6th January 1991. The Protagonist of the Story, Sana Sikander Sheikh, a Lead Reporter for the Leading Local Daily, the Kashmiri Times, is in an Intense Verbal Debate on the Phone discussing regarding not changing her report due to the pressure. After this call, Sana leaves the Office. She searches for her four years younger brother who is more like her twin in her own house but unfortunately finds herself alone in the house. Anurag calls her unexpectedly and asks her to go with him as he is leaving Kashmir due to riots. Although, Sana loves Anurag and was expecting a call from him, this conversation left her speechless. After few moments, Sana finds out that she is pregnant and now she feels like she has lost everything. As a Reporter, Sana attains a certain level of Respect and Authority. She announces Political News, decides about headlines and News to Be Reported during Prime Time, Mentors few other employees and handles a lot many other tasks at the Kashmiri Times.

 About the Author 

Ankita Verma is a communication specialist. An economics graduate from Mumbai University, she is also trained in advertising communication and marketing from Xavier Institute of Communication. She spent more than a decade in the advertising industry before starting her own communications consultancy in 2003.
